Major California wind, transmission projects approved

The $1.8bn Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project (TRTP), which would bring electricity from one of the state’s wind-development hot beds to urban centres, gets the go ahead from the California Public Utilities Commission. A major wind project the new line would serve is also approved.
