South Korean contractor LS Cable will make its debut in the Taiwanese offshore wind sector with a deal to supply Wpd’s Yunlin project.
LS Cable will deliver 170km of 66kV cables to the 640MW project, with installation to be carries out by Seaway Offshore Cables, said the Korean group.
The South Korean cable specialist said it successful competed against “cable makers of leading countries in power generation from Europe and Japan” to secure the contract.
