US naval architect AK Suda is in talks with offshore wind developers over a potential consortium to underpin deployment of a new Jones Act-compliant wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) design it claims can be the cheapest on the market and handle future machines as large as 18MW.

The Louisiana company is looking to form a consortium to compete for charters with its new JG10000T design.
