A ‘Taiwan Team’ partnership of local players has set its stall out as a local champion for Taiwanese offshore wind, with eyes on “mega-scale” fixed and floating development there and across Asia.
Developer Swancor Renewable Energy and supply chain partners Tien Li Offshore Wind Technology, Yeong Guan Energy and J&V Energy Technology said they will focus on developing Swancor’s Formosa 4 project as a fixed-bottom project, before turning to floating opportunities at Formosa 5.
