GE Renewable Energy has won an order by developer European Energy to supply 22 of its Cypress 5.5MW wind turbines to a project north of the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius.

The 121MW project will boost the small Baltic state’s current wind power capacity by nearly a quarter (23%), GE said.

All turbines will be erected on a 151-metre tower, fly LM Wind Power blades, and have a 158 metre rotor diameter.
