LIPA opts for solar in RFP over Deepwater's offshore wind bid

The Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) board on Wednesday opted to contract 122MW of solar power, bypassing Deepwater Wind’s 210MW offshore proposal in its latest tender for 280MW of renewable energy supply.
