The lead-off turbine is in at the giant 731.5MW Borssele III/IV offshore wind project being developed by the Shell-led Blauwwind consortium in the Dutch North Sea.

Seventy-seven of the machines, MHI Vestas’ 9.5MW V164s, being installed by Van Oord’s Aeolus construction vessel in 40 metres of water 55km off the coast of the Nethlerlands, with expectation the first ‘string’ of turbines will be sending power to grid by the third quarter of the year.
