DEME Offshore has installed the last of 45 jacket foundations at the 950MW Moray East offshore wind project in Scotland.

The installation had been challenged by the coronavirus pandemic, as well as an accident on board of the Orion installation vessel when a crane collapsed during load testing at Rostock in Germany, injuring several workers.

“Despite the unprecedented challenges we have faced on this project we are extremely proud of how our teams have navigated through difficult times,” DEME Offshore general manager Bart de Poorter said.
