A $2m investment in a 1MW plant in Brazil may be a modest start, but Japanese developer Shizen Energy believes it can find a distributed solar El Dorado in the world’s eighth-largest economy.

“We believe that this market will grow very fast, especially as companies are looking for ways to get away from fast-rising power bills. By 2030, Brazil will have 25GW of distributed generation capacity according to its government,” Bruno Suzart, Shizen’s Brazil country manager told Recharge.
