US developer Vineyard Wind has inked a deal with Dutch installation giant Jan De Nul and UK subcontractor JDR Cable Systems to lay the interarray lines at its eponymous 800MW offshore wind project off the coast of Massachusetts.

The 130-mile (209km) 66kV high voltage cable system, being laid by the Vole au Vent jack-up, will the link the project’s 62 GE Haliade-X 13MW turbines to an offshore substation for export to the onshore grid.
