Iberdrola is talking to Chinese wind turbine manufacturers over supplying its projects in what would be a first for the global green power giant, which has until now exclusively used Western OEMs.
“Why not,” said Iberdrola’s international offshore wind business director Javier Garcia when asked by Recharge if the company would be prepared to use Chinese manufacturers.
Garcia said Iberdrola is currently in talks over “small agreements with some Chinese turbine suppliers.
