Ireland's ESB joins Chinese giant for 1GW Scottish offshore wind farm

Irish utility ESB has joined Red Rock Power as 50% owner of the 1GW Inch Cape project, adding to the momentum of Scotland’s growing offshore wind sector.

ESB – which is extending its own offshore wind footprint beyond Ireland – and Red Rock, which is controlled by Chinese power giant SDIC, said they could collaborate on more projects after linking to advance the wind farm 15km off the Angus Coast.
