Irish Energy Minister Eamon Ryan says he will submit an application to Brussels “within weeks” for a plan that would allow offshore wind farm owners to net €140 per MWh in subsidies, in addition to the market price for electricity.
The announcement comes in tandem with the publication of Ireland’s Offshore Renewable Energy development plan, which has gone out for a two-month public consultation.
