A probe is underway into the collapse of a GE wind turbine in Oklahoma – the second such incident in the US involving the company's machines in the space of a few months.

The 65MW Chisholm View 2 uses 2.4MW GE Renewable Energy turbines, according to the website of developer Tradewind Energy, which was acquired by Enel earlier this year. The wind farm entered service in 2016.

The incident on Tuesday followed strong winds in the area, according to local reports.
