GE Renewable Energy unveiled an offshore wind alliance with Toshiba that will see the Japanese industrial conglomerate help build and sell the Haliade-X turbine in its home market.
Toshiba Energy Systems will take responsibility for “critical phases” of the manufacturing of the turbine, in a move set to help the Haliade-X compete in the fast-emerging Japanese market where local content and alliances are likely to be key to success.
