The world’s largest offshore wind project will take over from a retiring nuclear plant in helping to stabilise the UK power network under what was hailed as an industry-first agreement.
The onshore converter station of the 1.2GW Dogger Bank C sub project will provide reactive power capability for 10 years from 2024 following the outcome of a competitive process run by UK network operator National Grid ESO.
