The French government has pre-selected 13 mainly experienced offshore bidders to participate in the next phase of a tender for two 250MW floating wind arrays in the Mediterranean – the world’s biggest such auction so far.
The winners of the 500MW tendering process will be chosen in the autumn of next year, with the wind farms slated to be commissioned by 2030.
