Siemens Gamesa is working on a plan to improve medium-term profitability and maximise its long-term potential, the company said as the OEM reported a widening loss in the January to March 2022 quarter.
The wind turbine manufacturer said the quarter – the second in its financial year – continued to be marked by challenges posed by the ramp-up of its 5.X platform, which together with continued supply chain disruptions pushed revenue down by 6.8% to €2.18bn ($2.31bn) compared to the year-ago quarter.
