Iberdrola-owned US utility Avangrid has pulled the plug on a power deal agreed for its Park City Wind offshore project, in another blow to the US sector.
Avangrid said the 800MW Park City – slated to deliver clean power to Connecticut – is “unfinanceable” under current terms, with a deal now reached with state officials to terminate power purchase agreements in place for the project.
