Iberdrola told Recharge it has presented two more utility-scale floating wind projects off Spain to the country’s ecological transition ministry, which combined would have a capacity of almost 1GW.

The renewable energy giant confirmed information first published by the Galiciapress digital newspaper.

The two projects of 490MW each - San Cibrao and San Brandán - would be built in deep waters of the Atlantic Ocean off the north-western Spanish province of Galicia.
