The plant consists of 152 Gamesa 2MW G90 turbines. In February Iberdrola signed a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for 100MW of the wind farm’s output with FirstEnergy Solutions, a subsidiary of US utility giant FirstEnergy.
Iberdrola has also started work on the 189MW Manzana wind farm in California. It has signed two PPAs for the output from that project. One of these is with San Diego Gas & Electric, which will receive the power generated by 100MW over the next 20 years.
