A pledge on future cooperation over North Sea renewable energy and power networks was hailed by the European wind industry as a major win from the last-minute Brexit trade deal struck between the EU and UK.
The agreement unveiled on Christmas Eve specifies that Britain and Brussels will build on the existing North Seas Energy Cooperation mechanism to look at the potential to work together in areas such as joint projects and grid development.
