Germany’s parliament has approved the so-called ‘Easter package’ of energy policy reforms that aims at reaching an 80% renewables share in the country’s power mix, and ensure energy supply security in the wake of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
Changes to the Wind at Sea Law also introduce qualitative criteria to offshore wind tenders for the first time, as well as dedicated half a gigawatt auctions of offshore wind from next year on to produce green hydrogen.
