Goldwind, Yongji sign generator deal

Goldwind has agreed to buy an unspecified number of permanent magnet direct-drive (PMDD) generators from electrical equipment specialist CNR Yongji Electric for 2.7 billion yuan ($439.7m).

Goldwind has purchased PMDD generators for its 1.5MW turbines, pictured here, as well as for its 2.5MW machines.
