A gigawatt-scale wind farm off western Sweden aims to deploy a mix of fixed-foundation and floating turbines from 2031, said its developer as it opened a consultation over the giant project.

The Poseidon project would use between 61 and 94 machines in the southern Skagerrak, 40km northwest of Gothenburg.

Developer Zephyr Vind hopes to deploy floating turbines for the northern part of the project, with fixed-bottom machines in the southern area.
