GE Renewable Energy’s Haliade-X completed a clean sweep of the world’s largest offshore wind farm under construction when its most powerful 14MW version was confirmed for the third and final 1.2GW Dogger Bank C phase.

The agreement means a total of 277 Haliade-X units will be deployed at the 3.6GW Dogger Bank project off northeast England, little more than three years after Recharge was first to reveal GE Renewable Energy’s plans for a 12MW turbine that was at that stage by far the highest-rated machine on the market.
