Both orders come in the context of Nordex’s long-standing partnership with UK-based renewables developer RES and the Electricity Supply Board (ESB), an Irish utility.

In January Nordex – Germany’s fourth largest turbine maker after Enercon, Siemens and REpower – will install six of its N90 units at ESB’s Grouselodge wind farm, located in County Limerick.

Around the same time it will also install six N80 machines at ESB’s Curryfree wind farm south of Londonderry, which is being constructed by RES.
