The offshore wind sector has criticised its omission from a coalition agreement for special renewables tenders to be held in Germany over the coming three years.
Senior figures in Chancellor Angela Merkel’s governing coalition earlier this week agreed to hold additional onshore wind and solar tenders of 1GW each in 2019, 1.4GW each in 2020 and 1.6GW each in 2021 in order to bring Europe’s largest economy closer to its climate targets.
