Germany last year is estimated to have installed close to 7GW in new onshore and offshore wind capacity – an all-time record – as developers rushed to get projects built that are still entitled to feed-in tariffs (FITs) before all support switches to a tender-based system, the Bavarian section of the German wind energy federation BWE said.
That is up from a combined 5.08GW
