GE wins massive turbine order for part of Europe’s biggest onshore wind project

GE Renewable Energy has signed an agreement with Luxcara to supply 137 of its Cypress 5.5MW turbines to the developer’s 753MW Önusberget wind sub-project in northern Sweden, which is part of Europe’s largest onshore wind complex Markbygden.

GE claims that seen as a stand-alone project, Önusberget is the largest single onshore wind farm in Europe, and added the order is also its largest onshore wind farm contract outside the US.
