The two OEMs joined the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) in condemning the proposal, on the first day of the Polish Wind Energy Association annual conference and fair.
Poland installed 1.3GW of wind last year, second only to Germany in Europe, and the industry employs 8,000 people and generates 600m zloty ($152m) in revenue each year.
But lawmakers from the governing Law and Justice party brought legislation before parliament last month that would establish a minimum distance of 10 times the turbine height from base to blade tip and make developers liable to pay regular service fees to authorities of up to 2% of the total investment of a wind park.
