GE lines up gigawatt-scale supply bonanza with Spanish wind auction winner

GE Renewable Energy has signed a framework agreement with Capital Energy to supply the Spanish developer with up to 1GW of wind turbines through 2023.

Capital Energy said it had won bids for 620MW in Spain’s latest renewable energy tender, and a great part of GE’s wind turbine components will be produced in the Iberian country.

“We are very proud of the trust that Capital Energy has placed in GE with this important collaboration agreement,” said GE Renewable Energy chief executive Jérôme Pécresse.
