The deal covers 402 machines at five wind farms in three states, and marks one of the US industrial giant’s largest wind service contracts yet.
GE will perform routine operations and maintenance work, provide production-based availability guarantees and monitoring and control services. The companies also signed contracts for spare parts and increased power production.
EDPR NA executive Bryan Hayes says he expects the agreement to lead to increased “reliability, profitability and performance of our wind fleet”.
