General Electric is seeking to block Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy turbines from being sold in the US, accusing the German-Spanish OEM of using GE's patented technology to protect its turbines from dramatic fluctuations in power.

The US company has filed a complaint to the US International Trade Commission requesting “that the Commission conduct an investigation under section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, regarding certain variable speed wind turbine generators and components thereof” against Siemens Gamesa.
