GE Renewable Energy received the planning green light for a major new turbine blade plant in northeast England that will supply the world’s largest offshore wind farm.
Local officials approved plans for the Teesside plant, where GE subsidiary LM Wind Power will make giant 107-metre blades for the manufacturer’s Haliade-X turbines.
Among others, blades from the facility will go to the nearby 3.6GW
