GE Renewable Energy has installed the last of its Haliade 150-6MW offshore wind turbines at the 396MW Merkur project off Germany.

Installation at the development site, located 35km north of the island of Borkum, was carried out by the SeaFox, sailing out of the project’s logistics hub in the Dutch port of Eemshaven.

The wind farm, developed by a group comprising InfraRed Capital Partners, DEME Concessions and Coriolis, will generate some 1.75GWh
