Offshore wind in the US is “fundamentally broken” and needs a wholesale reset, said the head of BP’s renewable energy business the day after the oil giant booked a huge impairment on its New York projects.
Anja-Isabel Dotzenrath, BP’s executive vice president, gas and & low carbon energy, said the offshore wind industry is facing “choppy times” globally but said the the American market in particular needs “a fundamental reset”.
