Turbine installation specialist Fred Olsen Windcarrier (FOW) has secured the turbine installation deal for the 950MW Moray East project off Scotland.
FOW will use one of its Tern Class vessels for the installation of 100 V164-9.5MW MHI Vestas turbines, working out of the Port of Invergordon from early 2021.
The Norway-based installer has worked with MHI Vestas before, but said this is the first occasion on which it has been directly contracted by the turbine OEM.
