Fred Olsen Ocean forged an offshore wind pact with Shimizu Corporation covering work in the emerging Japanese market and beyond.
The Norwegian group and its subsidiaries Fred Olsen Windcarrier and Global Wind Service will partner with the Japanese engineering and contracting group, which is poised next year to take delivery of a 50bn yen ($462m) installation jack-up vessel that can handle the new generation of supersized turbines.
