France to double wind capacity by 2023, says FEE study

After ending 2015 with an onshore capacity of 9.8GW, wind power in France broke through the 10GW-barrier this October and is seen reaching 24-27GW by 2023, according to the study 2015 Wind Forecast by the BearingPoint consultancy.

Last year, 1,042MW of fresh capacity was added across the country, making France one of Europe' s top wind power markets.
