Two French bottom-fixed offshore wind tenders are advancing to their next phase – the 1GW first phase of the Oléron zone in the Atlantic and the 1.5GW zone off Normandy – said industry body WindEurope as the sector welcomed further acceleration of the nation's plans after a slow start.
Interested bidders can submit an initial application by 23 December 2022, which will be followed by a three-month ‘competitive dialogue’ process at which developers can discuss their project with public authorities before submitting a final application.
