New wind installations slowed slightly in France last year as 1.55GW in new wind capacity was added to the grid, down from a record 1.69GW in 2017, figures from wind group France Energie Eolienne (FEE) show.

With that, the country’s cumulative grid-connected wind capacity reached 15.3GW at the end of 2018, exceeding a government target of 15GW for that year.
