The joint venture of Finnish utility Fortum and local developer JSC Rusnano is set to build up to 1.6GW more wind power after its success in latest Russian renewable energy auctions.

The JV was awarded an annual remuneration of 16.9bn-23.8bn roubles ($231m-325m) in the latest capacity tender run in the world's largest nation geographically.

The award in the form of a capacity supply agreement (CSA) corresponds to 430-530MW of wind capacity to be added during the years 2025-27, or between 1.3GW
