Finnish utility Fortum and its German unit Uniper in partnership with local energy company Helen will build two wind projects with a combined capacity of 380MW in the Western Finnish towns of Närpes and Kristinestad.
The project consisting of 56 wind turbines (by a yet unnamed OEM) is the first of a Fortum-Uniper strategic cooperation. Fortum earlier in December 2020 had announced a wind and solar organization under the leadership of Uniper that aims at building 1.5-2GW
