Floating wind pioneer BW Ideol and Tohoku Electric Power (TEP), one of Japan’s biggest utilities, agreed to push ahead with plans to develop a commercial-scale project in another sign of the technology’s growing traction in the Japanese market.
Norwegian-owned BW Ideol and TEP “signed a formal agreement and initiated the feasibility studies necessary” to advance the project off Kuji city on Japan’s east coast north of Tokyo.
