The boss of Siemens Gamesa’s majority owner Siemens Energy stonewalled questions about a possible full take-over or operational integration of the wind turbine manufacturer, insisting the OEM's problems – particularly in the onshore wind business – need to be sorted out first.

Siemens Energy chief executive Christian Bruch made his comment in a call with analysts on 2022 first quarter results that showed continued losses at Siemens Gamesa had also pushed its parent into a net deficit of €240m ($274m) and forced the German company to lower its guidance for the full year.
