As preferred supplier to the project, Siemens will supply 4MW turbines that are fully certified, use modular, three-stage, geared drivetrains, and have met operational performance and reliability expectations in European offshore wind.
It was not immediately clear if Siemens will take an equity stake in the fully permitted project and/or provide financing. It would be located in state waters about 3 miles off the seaside resort of Atlantic City.
