The debut prototype of Vestas’ next-generation EnVentus wind turbine platform has generated its first power at its test site in Denmark, said the OEM giant.

The V150-5.6 MW is up and running at the Østerild National test centre in Western Jutland, Denmark.

The EnVentus platform was unveiled by Vestas in early 2019 as the global onshore wind market-leader's leap into larger, modular machines, which it said could meet the future demands of developers for more powerful turbines that can be closely configured to specific requirements.
