Orsted has inaugurated its offshore wind farms operation and maintenance (O&M) hub in Taiwan, which it said is the largest in the Asia-Pacific region in terms of service capacity and area.

The Danish utility from the hub in the port of Taichung aims to serve its four Greater Changhua offshore wind farms that will have a combined capacity of about 2.4GW when fully operational.

“Taiwan is our first market of entry in Asia-Pacific and home to our regional headquarters,” chief executive Mads Nipper said.
