Floating wind start-up Saitec has secured a site off the coast of northern Spain for a first full-scale grid-connected turbine.
The 2MW unit, being built using the engineering outfit’s next-generation concrete Sath twin-pontoon hull concept, will be moored in 85 metres of water at the Biscay Marine Energy Platform R&D centre as part of the company’s DemoSATH project.
